Dreams are the seeds of reality
“The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream.”
— James Allen
Reflection
James Allen reminds us that every great achievement began as a dream—often fragile, unproven, and invisible to everyone except the one who carried it. Long before the accomplishment was celebrated, the dream required endurance. The dreamer had to believe in what was not yet visible.
Great achievements are rarely the result of sudden inspiration. They emerge from perseverance, faith, and a willingness to walk while the path is still dim. Anyone who has done anything meaningful has walked through seasons where nothing seemed to move, and yet they held the dream anyway.
You may have a dream that feels distant right now. Don’t despise the early stage. Don’t abandon what God whispered to your heart simply because others cannot see it. The greatest works of your life will not come from perfect conditions but from persistent belief.
Hold your dream with steady hands. Feed it with prayer, action, and resilience. One day what feels distant will become the very thing others call “impossible made real.”
And that’s worth thinking about.

Putting It Into Practice
- Revisit a dream you have set aside and ask God if it is time to pick it back up.
- Take one micro-step toward your long-term goal.
- Write down why this dream still matters to you.
One Question To Ponder
What achievement could grow from the dream you’re carrying right now?
