Dreams are the seeds
“Dreams are the seedlings of realities.”
— James Allen
Reflection
James Allen says that dreams are the “seedlings of realities.” Every change in your life—small or monumental—began as an unseen thought planted quietly in the soil of your mind. You seldom notice the beginning of a dream. It starts as a whisper, an idea, a hope you hesitate to admit. But given attention, it grows roots.
Most people dismiss their dreams too quickly. They call them unrealistic, impractical, or childish. But seedlings always look insignificant at first. The mighty oak begins as a fragile sprout. The issue is never the size—it is whether the seed receives light, nourishment, and time.
When you give your dream consistent thought, you water it. When you take small steps toward it, you strengthen its stem. When you pray over it and protect it from negativity, you shield it from frost.
Dreams do not become realities overnight. But they do become realities for those who keep nurturing what God has planted. If you protect the seed, the harvest will take care of itself.
And that’s worth thinking about.

Putting It Into Practice
- Write the earliest version of a dream you want to cultivate.
- Give that dream ten minutes of focused thought or planning today.
- Protect your dream from negativity—remove one discouraging influence.
One Question To Ponder
